Meet the Vans

We have four brand new VW camper vans and one vintage festival VDub.  You will be one of the first to hire these new 2008 campers, they are real head turners. 

The new camper vans are water-cooled which means they are reliable, more powerful (80hp compared to 40hp of older models) and more fuel efficient (25-30 mpg).  They even will run on biofuel. The great thing is that they still retain the authentic VDub look and feel.

All will sleep 4 and the new campers have flip-down TV/DVD, fridge, hob/grill, sink with running water, independent heating, 240v plug sockets, and surround sound hi-fi with iPod connection.  You will not be short of something to talk about when you are stopped by passers-by and will be made to feel very special.

Mary Jane is a country girl at heart.  Floral curtains and patchwork quilts make you feel like you are in a garden and her yellow paint-work is sure to attract lots of smiles and waves.

Mary Jane occasionally transforms into a Hippy-Chick with magnetic flowers and psychodelic interior design.  Great for proms, parties and promotions.

Campervan Layouts

The following layouts are available:

Rio:  Seats 4 (four, three point seat belts), sleeps 4, extra storage units (Tinkerbell, Bernie and Aria)

Diamond:  Seats 5 (four, three point seat belts plus one rear centre four point seat belt), sleeps 4 with wide rock and roll bed (Mary Jane)

Standard Equipment

All our new campervans provide the following standard specification:

  • Right hand drive
  • Raising roof with sunroof and vent
  • Two double beds
  • Seatbelts (four or five dependent on model)
  • Gas stove (with gas bottle)
  • Fridge (from leisure battery)
  • Sink with running water (from water tank)
  • Independent heating
  • Removable table (stores behind passenger seat)
  • Buddy seat to provide fold out bench seat for table
  • Under-seat, cupboard and buddy seat storage
  • Domestic power sockets (for use with electric hook up)
  • Front roof rack (for luggage or awning storage)
  • Stereo radio with iPod dock

                                        

The following equipment and utensils are provided with each campervan:

  • Gas lighter for stove
  • 2 saucepans and a frying pan
  • Cooking utensils (spatula, tin opener, corkscrew/bottle opener, tongs etc…)
  • Kitchen and bread knives
  • Colander, grater, mixing bowl
  • Knives, forks and spoons for 6 people
  • Melamine plates & bowls for 6 people
  • Acrylic glasses (wine and tumblers) for 6 people
  • Mugs for 6 people
  • Kettle, cafetiere and teapot
  • Chopping board
  • Washing-up liquid, dishcloth and tea-towel
  • Small selection of games, books and playing cards
  • Torch
  • First Aid kit
  • Dustpan and brush
Optional Extras

The following extras can also be provided (see price list for hire charges):

Free Standing Awning

Two options are available:

- Khyam

- Royal Tunnel (pictured right)

This will comfortably sleep two and folds into a bag which fits on to the front roof rails.

You can drive away and leave the tent standing.

Ned comes with his own tunnel awning as standard.

Bike Rack

Carries two bikes or can be used to store excess luggage.

Bedding and Towels

There are two bedding options:

  1. Purchase a new sleeping bag and towels which are yours to keep after the hire.
  2. Hire quilt, pillow, covers and towels

Please request at the time of booking to ensure availability.

Satellite Navigation

Pre-programmed with places of interest and the return destination.

Portable DVD Player

Please bring your own selection of DVDs.

Most of our camper vans have a flipdown freeview TV / DVD built into the roof.
Flip down freeview TV / DVD built into some campervans

Outdoor Table and Chairs

For picnics and outdoor entertaining.
